Description: Buck Hollow Llamas,Inc. is located in southeastern PA (between Phila and Harrisburg) in a lovely rural valley only 8 miles from the PA turnpike. From day one I knew that I wanted to raise gentle llamas with correct conformation. The show arena attests to the correct conformation, and the comments everyone makes when visiting my farm confirm the gentle natures which I believe, for the most part, to be genetic. In the past 5 years I have been concentrating on, what I call, ultra silky fiber. After taking first at the 2005 Grand Nationals in fiber, I realized I'd better start paying attention to this valuable aspect of the animal. More than once has my fiber been mistaken as alpaca. So with those three breeding goals in mind-- gentleness, conformation and fiber-- and after much research, I continue to add new bloodlines to my herd. I try to keep a small herd and love mentoring the new owner as I am a firm believer in being available at ALL times to help. I do it all myself so I know how important it is to have someone to call with questions or uncertainties. We not only sell show and pet quality llamas and their yarn, we presently have a stud service with 8 award winning studs from which to choose.
